Mayo Sundial

The sundial 5 metres up on the south west corner of St. Mary's, Church of Ireland, in Crossmolina has obviously been restored along the 12 noon line. The motto was probably "MANEO NEMINI" I Wait for no one.

Crossmolina is 10K west of Ballina on the A59.

Lat 54° 06' North    Long 9°19' West

Many thanks to Noel O'Neill for photos and for bringing this dial to my attention.

If you know the location of a sundial in Ireland (NOT a mass produced DIY Store garden ornament) please email it to me (Click here to email M.J.Harley) - a member of British Sundial Society
