In the grounds of Glin Castle, one of Ireland's most historic properties, there is a horizontal brass sundial which was made in Limerick, in 1765, by Charles Harrison, an instrument and clock maker for Judge Arthur Blennerhasset. This stands on a flagged stone circle with a cobbled surround on a baluster shaped pedestal made of Kilkenny limestone. It was moved to Glin, in 1904, from Riddlestown Park, the Blennerhassett house in Co. Limerick, when it was sold.
Glin Castle is 50kms west from Limerick city on the N69 at Glin village. Restricted access
