A modern horizontal slate dial 365mm in diameter, located in Iveagh Gardens, suffering from vandalism. Inset into the 420mm diam circular top of an 1030mm high stone column which sits on a two step octagonal base. The dial is inscribed "Iveagh Gardens" and has an eight point compass rose marked N NE E etc. It shows 4a.m.to 8p.m. in 30, 15 and 5 min divisions. The hours V to VII are in Roman numerals with four as IIII. It has a split noon to compensate for the solid bronze gnomon thickness.
A bronze Equation of Time Graph with instructions on its use is mounted on a separate stone block nearby.
